Behind The Scenes At SSuite Office { Final }

Posted on October 15, 2017 at 5:55 AM Comments comments (0)

Below are the final screenshots of the engineering building we were contracted to electrify and wire one year ago. We have finally finished this building with the last two outside flood-lights being installed and connected.

The first image, starting from the top-left, is me wiring up the engineering shop's backup-generator. Our country's national electricity infrastructure is on the verge of collapse, which means we suffer from a lot of brown-outs. The second image is my father wiring the main office's air-conditioners. The third image is the outside flood-lights that we just installed and connected.

The last image is me wiring the Day-Night light switch for the outside flood lights. We have finally finished the engineering shop. For those who are wondering who took the photos... that would be my brother Marius{ also holding and cracking the whip as we work }.

To follow our whole progress on this massive project, have a look at the below installments that I've created.

How To Run HelpFiles on Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10

Posted on October 15, 2017 at 5:50 AM Comments comments (0)

The below instructions are to show you how to obtain and run the correct version of the Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe) used by most popular software and legacy applications.

This type of helpfile is no longer supported by Microsoft... why not?... you may ask... I don't know, maybe they are just mean by nature.

Click one of the following "Windows Help program" links, depending on the operating system that you are running:

Click here to download directly from our servers Free SSuite Office Software and Suites downloads.- Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe) for Windows Vista

- Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe) for Windows 7

- Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe) for Windows 8

- Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe) for Windows 8.1

- Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe) for Windows 10

or download the following file Microsoft WindowsHelp32 for ALL Windows WinHlp32.exe Files.

Download and install Windows6.*-KB917607-x64.msu or Windows6.*-KB917607-x86.msu, depending on the edition of the operating system that you are running.

All you need to do is double-click on the msu file, follow the instructions, and Windows will do the rest. When the file has finished, the helpfiles will now run perfectly on your Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10 system.

Windows 10     -   Quick Solution without the help of Microsoft:    { Screw' em! }

Method One:

Windows 10 x86 32 Bit                         Windows 10 x64 64 Bit

Follow these instructions for a succesful operation of the helpfile for Windows 10:

Download one of the above files, Unzip the files, and read the "Read Me" file for detailed instructions.

Unzip all files to root directory "C:\"  |  Open a command prompt window with administrator rights  |  Run "install.bat"  |  Done!

Method Two:

For the users who need winhlp32.exe, just get a copy from an XP system. It is located in c:\windows. Then, on Windows 10, boot to the command prompt, go to the windows folder, and replace the stub with winhlp32.exe from the XP system. Problem solved - until you run sfc /scannow. This is yet another annoyance caused by Microsoft not wanting us to have a functional HELP for older programs. { Download WinXPHelpFile }

Make Your Documents Future Proof And DRM Free With HTML5

Posted on October 15, 2017 at 5:50 AM Comments comments (0)

All the big players in the office software productivity market are currently doing everything they can to lock people in to their proprietary document formats like DOCX and XLSX. Microsoft and Google are actively discouraging people to use open and free document formats like RTF and even plain text.

Have you ever tried loading a Rich Text document, modifying it and then saving it again in Google Docs or MS Office 365 as an RTF document? Surprise!... Surprise!... Google Docs and MS Office 365 will not allow you to save your documents and precious letters and other content to the open and completely interchangeable RTF document format!

To prevent your documents becoming held ransom by these oppressive and Dick-tating companies, I suggest you start using a much freer and open document format. Current web browser technology and continual updating of the HTML5 code has recently allowed software developers to use this format to create free and open applications that could use the HTML5 format to their advantage.

HTM is a file extension for HTML (Hypertext Mark-up Language) file format. You may have seen this on the end of web pages as they are being downloaded and displayed in the link edit box of your web browser. The HTML file extension is sometimes abbreviated as .htm for compatibility with older operating systems, such as Disk Operating System (DOS), Windows 3.x and OS/2., which support eight character file names with a three character extension. When you save an HTML document, you can use either the .html or the .htm file extension.

HTM and HTML are the most common type of documents used to build web pages and documents. Both HTM and HTML may contain links to images, audio, video and scripts. Just like any other standard desktop document e.g. Microsoft Word, SSuite WordGraph, Google Docs etc.

Any browser or web editing program can open HTM files. HTML5 consists of the set of mark-up symbols or codes inserted in a file intended for display on a World Wide Web browser page. The mark-up tells the browser how to display a Web page's words and images for the user.

So... if the whole World Wide Web can be made compatible with HTML5, then why not use it as a document format too!

And we have done just that!

With our latest text editor and word processor, this has been made even easier to do. Both our HTML5 compatible applications are WYSIWYG capable.

There are no more excuses NOT to use and create HTML5 documents:

  • Completely open source.
  • Easy to use and to create documents with.
  • Open, create, and edit existing HTML documents.
  • Create and insert links for dynamic online documents.
  • Anybody can open a HTML document with their web browser.
  • It is just as capable of text formatting and table creation as desktop word processors.
  • It is safe to use as a standardised document format for future archival purposes and readability.
  • Create stand-alone documents with embedded images from your hard drive without any links! { gif, jpg, png }
  • No-one has control over the format, and thus cannot lock other software developers out and create vendor-lockin.
  • It is very easy to create a HTML document with free text editing software, just like ordinary desktop word processors.

So there you have it, start using HTML5 as your standard document format so that everybody can have access to rich and creative content all over the world without the need of expensive paid for software applications.

Surf the web without annoying ads!

As we all know advertising from Google and other large marketing companies are just messing up website pages and eating up all our precious data bandwidth, not to mention tracking the hell out of our private browsing history. It's time to stop these companies in their tracks.

Now it is possible to block all those annoying ads with just one application add-on or plug-in. It is also completely free.

Adblock Plus is simply fantastic. I was very sceptical at first, but when I installed it for my Internet Explorer and FireFox web browser, all the pesky ads just disappeared. The download is a meagre 7MB and installs without a problem.

Here is the website address:

Just select for which browser you want to download, or it will select it automatically when you enter the website. After installation, open the "Filter Preferences" dialog box and uncheck the "Allow some non-intrusive advertsing" check box. This will then block ALL advertising and allow for a clean and fast web experience.

Enjoy a free, quick, and fast web browsing experience without any advertising. I totally recommend this application, it is a must have!!!

Those Greedy Silicon Valley Bastards.

In an article this week I read that a coalition of major technology firms from Silicon Valley, with the likes of Yahoo and Facebook, are very unhappy with America's immigration laws. From an article from the slashdot website.

This comes as they no longer wish to employ American citizens but rather want to decrease the work Visum restrictions so that they can pay less for immigrant workers and make more profit. These greedy corporations have already corrupted the American national tax laws as they get tax breaks for employing immigrants rather than American citizens.

Now if this isn't treason towards their own people, then I don't know what is. How can they blatantly tell the American people that their money is good enough to be spent on their goods and services, but they are not good enough to be employed by them. What more do they want? Blood money?...

These greedy corporate bastards, Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, investors and executives, are also planning a virtual "march" on Washington in April. The absolute cheek of these people! Telling everyone there is a major need for qualified workers, yet completely ignoring the much qualified and experienced American workforce itself, just to make a few bucks more on the balance sheets for their bonusses and shareholders!

I would say that President Obama better be very carefull when considering their open letter to him about immigration reform. They are contemplating social disfunction and destruction of the vast numbers of highly skilled and experienced work force currently present in America. Why don't these companies just expand their educational support and organically grow the base of technology employees themselfs in the local market. This would have a much more advantages effect on the economy and social upliftment of everybody in America.

Let us hope the American President know better than to listen to these evil and greedy Silicon Valley Bastards...
